It's been a Mr. Toad's-wild-ride of a week. Last weekend, the twins made their first communion. That was soooo wonderful.

Then I my heart dropped to my stomach when my 17 yr old sneaked out of the house in the middle of the night... twice! Sorry, I don't have pictures of that. :P I'll post pics when I hang two particular nameless people by the toes over a vat of ravenous sea monsters.

Then my 17 yr old passed her State Board esthetician exam. Yippee! She wouldn't let me take a picture of her holding the license, though. I was her model. I got one brow waxed, one tweezed, a dermal light facial, make-up, two kinds of false eyelashes, and booties on my feet. Not sure what that was for, but they were a nice touch.

Ah, so cute.

I went to the funeral of a good friend about a month ago. His twin daughters were up there speaking about their dad and his positive attributes.

"And Jim, Jr., our eldest brother snuck out again one night, so dad lay in his bed without a sound until Jim, Jr. returned home quietly, undressed, and slipped into bed next to his dad. 'About time you came home,' Dad said. Jim, Jr. nearly died of a heart attack and from then on made sure mom and dad was told about his comings and goings. Dad was just concerned for his safety. Life is precious."

Hmm, I'll have to try that.

Where's an editor when you need one.

"...so dad lay in Jim, Jr.'s bed..."

Don't worry about it. I need an editor when I talk. Wait, isn't that the brain's job? Mine's on permanent vacation.

Adorable photos. What's an aesth... I already forgot how to spell it?

Yeah, I have to look up the spelling every time. Estheticians do facials, makeup, waxing unwanted hair, that sort of thing.

The twins look like a couple of angels. I remember Christina's first communion. Surprisingly, I didn't burst into flames while in the church.

Too bad about N, or was it K? I feel for you. I never had to worry about that sort of thing (those wheelchairs are hard to get through a window). I guess everything DOES have a silver lining :-)

Yeah, it was Nyssa. This never happened before she went on meds. What happened to my reclusive little girl who trembled at the thought of seeing people?

You're right, everything has a silver lining.

The twins are beautiful! No comment about their big sis. I turned out okay, I think, so here's hoping she comes to her senses soon too.
